Practice Areas

Laurel Anne Markus PC offers legal counsel regarding Colorado business law, nonprofit law and family law.  If you are a party to a divorce, custody or adoption case, the firm offers full service legal representation from my Colorado Springs office.  The firm also offers a range of unbundled legal services in family law cases including research, advice and document preparation for a flat fee.  This option permits families to access quality legal counsel in these cases, with the reassurance of knowing how much their legal fees will be right from the start.

Colorado business owners, nonprofit managers and directors can engage the firm for incorporations, formation of LLCs, negotiation and drafting of contracts, leases, partnership or joint venture agreements, research and tax analysis.  I have been advising businesses and nonprofit institutions regarding these matters since 1996.  Some of these services are also available on a flat fee basis, allowing entrepreneurs and newly formed tax exempts to manage their legal costs.

Online Access

The firm has invested in the latest virtual law office technology and anticipates that this service will be available to clients by June 2010. Through this new online platform the firm will be able to assist clients with their Colorado business, nonprofit or family law matters entirely online. How will it work?  Clients whose cases have been accepted will log on to the Client Area using a logon name and password of their choice.  Each client's information will be secured by the same SSL encryption and security protocols used for online banking transactions. You will be able to review your documents or case file on your computer, at any time of day or night.  No matter where you’re located or what time zone you’re in, you can stay on top of the legal issues affecting you at home.
